Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant

Pay: £93 per day (paid weekly)
Location: Cardiff
Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting children in their early primary education?
We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school setting in Cardiff from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young learners in Key Stage 1, helping to support their academic, social, and emotional development through the medium of Welsh in a positive and engaging classroom environment.
This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, childcare practitioners, or individuals looking to begin a career in education—especially those interested in early learning and primary education.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils in KS1
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities
• Encouraging Welsh language development through daily interaction
• Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and communication skills
• Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
