Welsh-Speaking Supply Teacher Jobs – Full-Time, Part-Time & Flexible Work

Locations: Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth & Pontypridd
Start Date: 23rd February
Pay: £172.98 - £220 per day (paid weekly, based on experience)
Hours: Full-time, part-time and flexible supply teaching work available

Are you a qualified Welsh-speaking teacher looking for supply teaching jobs in South Wales? We work with a wide network of primary schools and Welsh-medium schools across Barry, Bridgend, Cardiff, Cowbridge, Llantrisant, Penarth and Pontypridd, and we are recruiting Welsh-speaking Supply Teachers to start from 23rd February.

Whether you are searching for full-time supply teaching roles, part-time PPA cover, or flexible day-to-day teaching work, this opportunity offers the chance to gain valuable classroom experience, maintain work-life balance, and teach through the Welsh language in supportive school environments.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers, ECTs (NQTs), or qualified teachers looking to return to the classroom with greater flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales
  • Teaching through the Welsh language in Welsh-medium and bilingual schools
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Following lesson plans or preparing work when required
  • Marking and assessing pupil work in line with school policy
  • Providing continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher

What Schools Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Confident spoken and written Welsh
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Adaptability and reliability in different school settings
  • A passion for education and supporting pupil progress
  • Recent teaching experience (desirable but not essential for ECTs)
