Welsh-Medium Primary School Teacher – Year 5 (Full-Time)

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a Welsh-medium primary school in the NP7 area of Newport for a fluent Welsh-speaking Primary Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This role is due to start from next week and will involve full classroom responsibility for a Year 5 class for the remainder of the academic year. For the right candidate, there is the potential for this position to lead to a permanent contract from the next academic year.

The role:

  • Full-time Welsh-medium Primary Teacher

  • Teaching a Year 5 class

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons through the medium of Welsh

  • Managing classroom behaviour and supporting pupil progress

  • Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning

Role details:

  • Location: NP7 area, Newport

  • Start date: Next week

  • Duration: Until the end of the academic year

  • Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

  • Daily rate: £172.98

The ideal candidate:

  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Confident teaching in a Key Stage 2 setting

  • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to seeing the class through the academic year

  • Open to the possibility of a longer-term or permanent opportunity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
