Programme Lead - Vocational 

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are working with an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ college that offers a wide range of support to young people with disabilities looking for training that will help them get in to the world of work.

The successful candidate will lead and develop vocational training across the college and ensure all students have the skills and knowledge required to be ‘work ready, life ready’ following completion of their course.

Key duties: 

  • Lead and develop vocational training across the college
  • Ensure the vocational curriculum is thoroughly and robustly planned and that all sessions are inspiring, engaging and individualised to the highest quality
  • To work collaboratively with the Head of Education and education leads to ensure compliance is met with regulatory frameworks and guidance, including Ofsted.
  • To attend internal and external training and share information with relevant colleagues.
  • To deliver training to staff across the college. 
  • Ensure that every student makes progress in each session and that this progress is recorded, evidenced and evaluated effectively, and efficiently. 
  • Lead, direct and develop quality assurance systems for teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading vocational training.
  • Experience in assessing NVQ Level 1.
  • Knowledge of assessing skills and knowledge using RARPA.
  • The skills to confidently manage a team.
  • A good understanding of quality assurance in an education or training setting, however training will be given on all processes.
  • The skills to work within the hotel departments where required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
