Unqualified Teaching Assistant to support one of our welcoming Secondary Schools!

This is a fantastic chance to step into a rewarding, hands‑on role where every day is different and where you’ll genuinely help young people who need extra support to thrive.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the school’s ALN (Additional Learning Needs) team, supporting pupils with a range of needs—such as learning difficulties, social/emotional challenges, and behavioural needs. Your day‑to‑day work will include one‑to‑one and small‑group support, helping pupils access learning, reinforcing lessons, and encouraging positive behaviour and engagement. You’ll collaborate with teachers, ALN staff, and pastoral teams to help create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment.

You don’t need formal teaching qualifications to apply — although having them is a bonus! We’re looking for someone with relevant experience or strong transferrable skills, along with a genuine passion for supporting young people. (Full vetting checks will be completed)

If you’re enthusiastic, people‑focused, and ready to make a meaningful difference every day, we’d love to hear from you!

  • The ability to stay calm, kind, patient, and approachable in challenging situations
  • An understanding of the social, emotional, and learning needs of young people

✅Requirements (or willingness to obtain independently)

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • Be aged 18 or over
