Secondary School Unqualified Teacher – No Teaching Qualification Required
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT)
Pay: £120 per day

Are you confident, organised, and interested in gaining experience in secondary education?

We are currently recruiting Unqualified Teachers to work in secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, begin a career in education, or work flexibly around other commitments.

Many of our Unqualified Teachers go on to complete teacher training or progress into other roles within education.


The Role

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher using pre-planned lesson materials. Your role will be to maintain a positive learning environment and ensure students stay engaged with their work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensuring students remain focused and engaged during lessons
  • Taking attendance and following safeguarding procedures
  • Supporting students with their learning and encouraging completion of tasks
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons

Who This Role Is Ideal For

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential.


What We Are Looking For

Successful candidates will be:

  • Confident and comfortable leading a classroom
  • Strong communicators with good interpersonal skills
  • Calm and professional when managing behaviour
  • Reliable, organised, and adaptable
  • Flexible and able to work across different schools within RCT

A driving licence is helpful but not essential.


Requirements

Before starting work you will need:

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service
  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
  • Two professional references covering the last two years
