Unqualified Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools

Short‑term & Long‑term Placements | Teaching Agency

We are currently recruiting Unqualified Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools via a teaching agency. This role offers a mix of short‑term and long‑term placements, providing flexible work and valuable classroom experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, step into a classroom‑based role, or make a rewarding career change while supporting young people’s learning.

The Role:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Delivering pre‑planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting students with their learning and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Working across KS3–KS5 depending on school needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous classroom or school‑based experience is a strong advantage, but not essential
  • Confidence to manage a classroom and engage secondary‑age students
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Experience in education, youth work, coaching, tutoring, or similar roles is welcomed
