University Students - Unqualified Teacher & Sports Support Assistant
Secondary Schools across Cardiff
08:30 – 15:30, Term Time Only
£120 per day, paid weekly

Are you a student, recent graduate, or aspiring teacher looking for hands-on experience in a school environment? This dual role blends classroom cover with sports support, giving you real leadership experience while helping young people thrive — both academically and physically.
Teaching Personnel is partnering with welcoming secondary schools across Cardiff to find enthusiastic, adaptable people to step into Cover Supervisor and Sports Support Assistant roles.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across subjects including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, DT, Art, Computing, and MFL
- Supervising classes in a teacher's absence, keeping students engaged and behaviour positive
- Supporting PE lessons, extracurricular activities, and after-school sports clubs
- Creating inclusive, energetic environments for learners of all abilities
- Building strong relationships with students, teachers, and school staff

What We're Looking For
- Studying towards, or holding, a degree (any subject — sports-related degrees a bonus)

- Coaching, leadership, or mentoring experience is welcome but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
