Job description

1:1 Tutor Required – Worcester Area

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in the Worcester area during school hours.

This role involves delivering personalised educational support either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting, helping young people to engage with learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 tuition to pupils with varying needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with individual learning plans and the UK curriculum
  • Support pupils’ academic progress as well as confidence and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with schools, parents, and other professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience within the UK curriculum
  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Relevant qualifications (teaching, education, or subject-specific) are desirable
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS is required
  • Must be registered on the DBS Update Service, or willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
