TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking passionate and dedicated 1:1 Primary and Secondary Tutors to support pupils across Walsall.

We work in partnership with local schools and receive regular referrals for pupils who require personalised one-to-one tuition. Once you've completed our compliance process, you'll receive tuition opportunities that match your experience, subject specialism, preferred travel area, and availability.

Tuition takes place during school hours in pupils' homes, schools, and alternative education settings, supporting learners who need additional academic support, are out of mainstream education, have SEND, or require tailored intervention to help them reach their full potential.

Pay

Working Pattern

• Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities.
• Tuition delivered Monday to Friday during school hours.

• Travel across Walsall and surrounding areas is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition for Primary and Secondary pupils.
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Support learners with closing educational gaps and building confidence.
• Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and other professionals.
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience teaching Primary and/or Secondary pupils.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• QTS, PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, dyslexia, or other additional needs.
• Experience delivering tuition in pupils' homes, schools, or alternative provisions.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.

Location

This role covers Walsall and the surrounding areas. Applicants should be willing to travel to pupils' homes, schools, and other tuition settings across the local area.
