Job description

Be the Difference in a Young Person’s Education

We are looking for compassionate and motivated tutors in Petersfield who are committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically and personally.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Petersfield and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible (Part-Time / Full-Time)

The Role
You’ll provide targeted, one-to-one or small group tuition to learners who require additional support outside of mainstream classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised sessions in core subjects
  • Support learners with diverse needs including SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Foster a positive and structured learning environment
  • Encourage engagement and re-build confidence in education
  • Monitor progress and adjust sessions to maximise outcomes

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or supporting young people with SEN
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
  • Ability to travel within Petersfield and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
