Hours: School hours, Monday–Friday
About the Role
TP Tutors is looking for passionate and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Peterborough area.
You will provide personalised, one-to-one educational support either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting during school hours. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated tutor who wants to make a meaningful difference to a young person’s education, confidence and future outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit the pupil’s ability, learning style and educational needs.
- Support pupils to develop academic skills, confidence and engagement with learning.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback when required.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and school staff.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with relevant education professionals where required.
- Follow all safeguarding and child-protection procedures.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for tutors who:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience within the UK curriculum.
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
- Are passionate, patient, reliable and enthusiastic about education.
- Can adapt their teaching style to meet individual pupil needs.
- Are confident working independently in a pupil’s home or school setting.
- Are available to work during school hours.
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching or tutoring the UK curriculum.
- Relevant teaching, tutoring or educational experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS suitable for working with children, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Successful completion of references and safeguarding/compliance checks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
