Are you an experienced educator who enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning?

We are currently seeking passionate and committed 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across Peterborough. This is an opportunity to provide focused, individualised tuition to pupils who would benefit from additional academic and pastoral support.

You will work closely with pupils to understand their learning needs, build their confidence, and help them make meaningful progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 lessons based on each pupil’s individual needs.
  • Help pupils develop their knowledge, confidence, and independent learning skills.
  • Plan engaging lessons aligned with the UK Curriculum.
  • Identify areas where pupils need additional support and adapt your teaching accordingly.
  • Track progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in the UK.
  • Strong experience delivering the UK Curriculum.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Experience working on a 1:1 basis is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional responsibilities.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant teaching or education qualifications are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
