1:1 Tutor – Home & School-Based (School Hours)

Location: Norwich and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours (term time only)
Contract: Flexible – Part-time / Full-time opportunities available
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Teacher (QTS) to work as a 1:1 Tutor supporting children and young people across Norwich and surrounding areas. Tuition will be delivered in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about providing personalised learning support and helping pupils overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil’s individual learning needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the pupil’s targets and curriculum requirements.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support different abilities, learning styles, and needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress regularly.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families, and schools.
  • Maintain accurate session records and provide feedback when required.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high professional standards at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience delivering personalised 1:1 tuition is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons effectively.
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is advantageous.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to travel between pupil locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
