Job description

TP Tutors is looking to appoint a motivated and nurturing KS2 Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a welcoming primary school in Norfolk. This is a long-term supply role starting in Janaury, offering the opportunity to work closely with pupils and staff to support learning and promote positive outcomes.

The school has a strong community ethos, a supportive staff team, and high expectations for all learners. With a focus on inclusivity and individual development, it provides an engaging environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. You will be supporting teaching and learning in KS2, working with both individuals and small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils to boost learning and confidence.
  • Assist in preparing resources and adapting materials for differentiated learning.
  • Help manage behaviour positively and in line with school policy.
  • Contribute to the tracking and recording of pupil progress.
  • Encourage pupils’ social and emotional development.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience working in a primary school, ideally within KS2.
  • Two education or school based references.
  • A calm, positive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • A passion for helping children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
