Job Title: KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

• Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Deliver outreach sessions in a supportive and engaging manner
• Create individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
• Collaborate with SEN coordinators and parents to ensure effective support

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with SEN students
• Up-to-date knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in delivering SEN support and tutoring

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
• Organisational skills to track student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in SEN education
• Experience in delivering outreach programmes

Working Conditions:

• Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
• Work primarily in a one-on-one setting with students (learners homes, local libraries and schools)
• Collaboration with SEN coordinators, parents, and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
