Job description

Are you a passionate tutor looking to make a genuine difference to young people who need tailored support?

We are currently recruiting tutors in the Grays area to work with pupils requiring personalised educational provision. Many learners may have SEN, SEMH needs, anxiety around education, or gaps in learning, so we are looking for tutors who are patient, flexible, and engaging.

The Role

You will deliver one-to-one tuition in:

  • Maths
  • English
  • Or both subjects

Tuition may take place:

  • In the student’s home
  • Within schools
  • In public settings such as libraries
  • Online

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum availability of 10–15 hours per week
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional or high-level needs is highly desirable
  • Ability to build positive relationships and adapt sessions when students become disengaged
  • Confidence completing:
    • Baseline assessments
    • Attendance records
    • Detailed progress reports
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with parents, carers, schools, and professionals
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
