Job description

Tutor Required – Doncaster

We are working closely with the local authority to appoint a dedicated tutor to support a Year 8 pupil in a bespoke learning pod within his care home. The role involves 5 hours per day, 3 days per week, with the need for a tutor to be present on site throughout the full session.

This young person has complex needs and is currently reintegrating back into education. He is motivated, engaged, and eager to learn. While tuition has already begun, a change in circumstances means we now require a new tutor to continue his progress.

Sessions will need to be delivered at a steady pace with opportunities for regular breaks. Care staff will also be present during the day to provide additional support. The learner has a strong interest in sport, music, and art, so tutors who can weave these into their approach will be especially valued.

This role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue through the school holidays.

The Role

  • Build trust and create a safe, engaging, and consistent learning environment.

  • Deliver tailored tuition across core subjects (English, Maths, and Science).

  • Adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs, including ASD and ADHD.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND.

  • Strong subject knowledge in your area of expertise.

  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting learning to suit individual needs.

  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one – support provided).

Benefits of Working with TP Tutors

  • Flexible working hours to fit around your schedule.

  • Weekly pay via PAYE (no umbrella companies).

  • Access to ongoing CPD training.

  • A dedicated tuition consultant to support you.

If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with SEND, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply today by sending us a copy of your updated CV.
