Job description

Are you experienced in delivering 1:1 or small group support? Are you passionate about helping pupils with additional needs reach their potential? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting tutors to work within SEN and SEMH schools, providing tailored academic support across a range of subjects.

We are looking for individuals who can engage and motivate students who may face barriers to learning, including those with autism, ADHD, social and emotional needs, and other complex learning difficulties.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 or small group sessions in core subjects (e.g. English, Maths, Science)

  • Supporting pupils with EHCPs and differentiated learning needs

  • Working in alternative provision or specialist school environments

  • Helping build students' confidence, engagement, and progress

We’re looking for:

  • Tutors with experience in SEN/SEMH settings or similar roles

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring/mentoring experience

  • Confident delivery across KS2–KS4 (or functional skills)

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A calm, resilient and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
