Job description

Job Title: SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Basildon

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised lesson plans based on students' learning needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students in achieving academic success
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Collaborate with SEN coordinators and other relevant staff to ensure students' educational needs are being met

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring services to students with SEN in the East of England. The work environment may include classrooms, community centres, or students' homes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
