Textiles Teacher – Full-Time (Temporary)
Pay: £140–£220 per day (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working with one of our partner secondary schools to recruit a creative and skilled Textiles Teacher for a full-time, temporary role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about design, creativity, and hands-on learning, and who enjoys inspiring students through fashion and textile design ✂️✨
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Textiles lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
- Teach practical skills such as sewing, pattern making, fabric techniques, and surface decoration
- Encourage creativity, independent design thinking, and craftsmanship
- Maintain a safe, well-organised, and inclusive practical learning environment
- Support the wider Design & Technology department as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Textiles or Design & Technology
- Confident managing practical lessons and workshop equipment
- Creative, organised, and enthusiastic about teaching
- Recent experience teaching Textiles in UK secondary schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
