Teaching Personnel is working with a range of welcoming primary schools across Swadlincote and the wider South Derbyshire area. These schools place a strong focus on inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and creating positive learning environments where every child can thrive.

Many of the schools we support work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your role will be key in helping children feel supported, engaged, and confident in their learning.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools across Swadlincote and surrounding areas may be required.

Your Role Will Include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Supervising classes during teacher absences and maintaining continuity of learning.
• Providing targeted support to pupils, including those with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Implementing positive behaviour management strategies.
• Building strong relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and participation.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We're Looking for Individuals Who Are:

• Caring, adaptable, and confident working across different school settings.
• Experienced or interested in supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Calm, patient, and resilient in their approach.
• Proactive and able to use their initiative.
• Committed to supporting positive outcomes for children.
• Strong communicators who build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

What We Offer:

• Access to Teaching Personnel's CPD Academy, including specialist SEN and SEMH training.
• Weekly pay with competitive rates based on experience and responsibilities.
• Flexible work opportunities to suit your availability.
• Easy-to-use online systems for timesheets and communication.
• Ongoing support from a dedicated local consultant.

If you're ready to make a positive impact in schools across Swadlincote and South Derbyshire, apply today and take the next step in your education career.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ's on the Teaching Personnel website for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. This may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and Prevent Duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
