Teaching Assistant (Visual Impairment Support) – Clitheroe
Location: Clitheroe
Start Date: Week commencing 1st June
Contract Type: Maternity cover
Working Days: Monday & Tuesday
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with visual impairment.
This role involves working 1:1 with a lovely young student, providing tailored support to aid their learning and development in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a visually impaired pupil in KS1
- Assist with classroom activities and ensure accessibility to learning materials
- Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with visual impairment (essential)
- Knowledge of or ability to use Braille (essential)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Previous TA experience preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
