We are currently seeking a teaching assistant to join our increasingly growing team of passionate educators at Teaching Personnel to support pupils across the Swansea area.
Ideally you will have previous experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
The majority of the pupils with attend the provision due to coming from very disadvantaged backgrounds and are often labelled as the ‘naughty’ pupils when in reality they just need a positive influence in their lives to help steer them in the right direction.
The position is within a pupil referral unit and will be highly challenging, but will offer you great job satisfaction and sense of achievement in supporting these pupils. Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with EBD or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) is highly desirable, such as an understanding of the complexities related to this. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge of teaching and behaviour strategies relevant to this.
So are you passionate about inspiring and motivating SEMH pupils to access the curriculum. An understanding and flexible nature is essential, and the school is particularly keen to have someone who is proactive, empathetic, engaging and creative. Candidates should use their personality to engage with these students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
