Teaching Assistant
Location: Paignton, Devon
Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Salary: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly via PAYE
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting children in their education and helping them reach their full potential?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of primary schools in the Paignton area who are looking for enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join their teams. Whether you have previous classroom experience or experience working with children in another setting, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
  • Help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
  • Support pupils with additional needs where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
  • A positive, proactive and patient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development
  • The ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
  • Enhanced DBS (Or willingness to get one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
