Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist SEN school in Bicester, Oxfordshire (OX26) and is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join its supportive and experienced team.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), communication needs, and complex learning needs.
Every day is different, and you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, engage in classroom activities, develop social skills, and achieve their individual goals.
You will support learning through practical, hands-on activities, sensory experiences, and structured interventions, ensuring each pupil receives the encouragement and guidance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions.
- Promoting communication, independence, and life skills.
- Supporting pupils with sensory and emotional regulation needs.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and participation in learning.
- Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
We Are Looking For
- A positive, caring, and resilient attitude.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to remain calm and flexible in a busy environment.
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential.
- Teaching Assistant, care, support work, youth work, or SEN experience would be advantageous.
