SEND Teaching Assistant

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Lymington and make a meaningful impact every day!
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing exceptional support to pupils aged 7-19 years old. This school Primarily supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions, including those with Level 1 needs and complex learning profiles, with many working at or above age-related expectations or with moderate learning difficulties.
Support is also offered for students with speech, language and communication needs, behavioural challenges, psychiatric and psychological needs, and occupational health requirements.
Curriculum & Education
- Delivers the full National Curriculum, alongside Functional Skills, GCSEs, A Levels, and NVQ awards
- Offers bespoke educational programmes tailored to individual interests and a Life Skills programme featuring community voluntary work, apprenticeships, work experience, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, outdoor challenges, and accredited qualifications
Who We Are Looking For
- SEND experience in or out of an educational setting
- Excellent communication skills
- A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
