Job description
Teaching Assistants – Ely & Surrounding Areas
Location: Rural setting near Ely
Start: ASAP or after half-term
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (PAYE)
Are you passionate about supporting young people in a calm, nurturing environment where well-being comes first?
We’re looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary setting just outside Ely, working with pupils aged 5–16 who benefit from a therapeutic, relationship-focused approach.
This is a unique school environment with a strong emphasis on emotional support, confidence-building, and practical, hands-on learning — perfect for someone who thrives outdoors and enjoys helping students grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
The Role
-
Support pupils with additional and complex needs through a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach.
-
Help deliver a curriculum that prioritises personal development, life skills, and emotional well-being alongside core learning.
-
Engage in outdoor, practical, and experience-based activities — from structured projects to confidence-building trips.
-
Encourage positive peer interactions and help students develop resilience, regulation skills, and independence.
-
Work full-time within a warm, cohesive team committed to building strong relationships with pupils and families.
We’re Looking For
-
Someone patient, resilient, and genuinely committed to improving young lives.
-
An individual who loves being active and outdoors — this is not a desk-based role!
-
A calm, positive role model who can support students through challenges and celebrate their progress.
-
A driver — essential due to the rural location.
What You’ll Get
-
£89.38–£100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
-
Access to a full CPD and online training library to support your professional development.
-
Sociable hours — no evenings or weekends.
-
24/7 consultant support.
-
Clear opportunities for long-term progression, including temp-to-perm pathways.
If you’re ready to join a supportive, well-being-led school that’s genuinely transforming the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you!
