Location: King’s Lynn & Surrounding Areas
Contract: Full-Time
Term Time Only – No Weekends
Salary: £89.39–£100 per day
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are recruiting full-time Teaching Assistants to join a specialist alternative provision in the King’s Lynn area. This setting supports pupils across Key Stages 1–3 who have EHCPs and require a nurturing, therapeutic environment to help them thrive.

This specialist provision:
• Supports pupils with SEMH, attachment needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours
• Uses a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach
• Offers small class sizes and highly personalised learning
• Works closely with families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
• Focuses on building confidence, emotional regulation, and positive relationships
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group support
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Use calm, consistent behaviour strategies
• Support emotional regulation and promote resilience
• Assist teachers in creating flexible, engaging learning experiences
• Celebrate progress and encourage independence
What We’re Looking For
• Experience (personal or professional) working with children with SEMH
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable children to achieve and grow

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
