Teaching Assistant- Huddersfield

Are you a recent graduate looking to kick start your career in education?

Do you have relevant experience working with young children?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of diverse and expanding high schools in the Huddersfield area who are looking for Teaching Assistants to support their students starting in the new academic year (September 2020).

As a Teaching Assistant you will be preparing classroom resources, supporting students on a 1:1 basis and running small group sessions. Teaching Assistants help support students who are not at their target level and may require additional support with concentration, reading/writing and behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in schools or with young people
  • Have a passion for education and helping students reach their full potential
  • Be organised, enthusiastic and dedicated to their students
  • Be able to work well in a team, supporting the classroom teacher
  • Be confident delivering sessions to small groups of students

Working with Teaching Personnel and our partner schools provides Teaching Assistants with the opportunity to develop their classroom experience in a wide range of schools as work varies from day to day placements to more long term positions (1-6 months).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
