Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Slough
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Term Time
Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed-Term (depending on the school’s needs)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive school in Slough. This is a full-time position supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years curriculum, helping children meet their developmental milestones

  • Assist with setting up and leading engaging and age-appropriate learning activities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children as needed

  • Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment

  • Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments

  • Support with personal care routines in line with school and safeguarding policies

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external professionals where necessary

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (or working towards one)

  • A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid trained

  • Experience working with children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
