Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant for one of our partner secondary schools in the Manchester area. The role would be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, these needs can include but are not limited to: Mental Health needs, Social and Emotional difficulties, Autism and Moderate Learning difficulties. Our client is also expecting the successful applicant to support students who present challenging behaviours because of their additional needs. • Full time Learning Support Assistant needed in secondary school • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs is preferred • The role starts in October 2022 and will run until the end of the academic year • Earn £10 - £19 per hour Our client is an Ofsted good school who is very proud of its SEN department, the school is committed to making sure every student with additional needs leaves school having at least achieved their academic potential and are fully prepared for the next step in their education journey. As a Learning Support Assistant your responsibilities would include: • Supporting young people in a classroom environment • 1:1 interventions • Providing emotional support • Give advice on areas where a student is struggling • Help Year 7’s who are struggling to transition into high school life The school is situated in the central Manchester area and has great transport links including trams, buses, and trains as well as secure onsite parking To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience and provide two professional or appropriate character references. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours. • A dedicated consultant to discuss current or future roles with you • An extensively discounted CPD program • Payment in house, meaning no fees from Umbrella companies • 3 weeks off per year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
