Could you have an immediate, positive effect on a student who have require additional support?

Following a recent discussion with the HR manager at our partner secondary school, it has been highlighted that they could benefit from several SEN Teaching Assistants to support their young people.

The school is a large SEN school for those aged 11-16 who have a range of needs. These needs can include but are not limited to, Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Social, Emotional Mental Health needs.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would have:

  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour
  • Passion for working with young people
  • A proactive personality

The SEN Teaching Assistant role would involve:

  • Supporting the young people within the classroom environment
  • Providing emotional support
  • One-to-one interventions

You will play a vital role within the school to ensure that lessons operate smoothly, and students are able to complete all of the work set by the teacher. You will be supporting those with complex needs in a specialised classroom environment, encouraging positive classroom behaviours and guaranteeing that these identified students are causing minimal disruption to the learning of their peers.

Our client school is in Oldham with excellent public transport links to via Bus, Train or Car.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
