Teaching Assistant – IT & Innovation (Full-Time)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm
Location: CF11 (Alternative Provision)
Pay: £93 daily rate
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant – IT & Innovation to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is a full-time, centre-based role working with learners aged 6–17 who are unable to attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, including mental health needs, physical health conditions, Additional Learning Needs (ALN), and recent relocation (particularly Year 11 learners).
About the Role
Our provision offers small group and one-to-one sessions, allowing for a highly personalised approach to learning. As a TA, you will play a key role in supporting both learners and staff across the centre, with a particular focus on enhancing our IT and online learning provision.
You will be expected to:
- Work confidently one-to-one and with small groups of learners
- Support learning across the curriculum
- Help develop and enhance the IT provision within the centre
- Assist with video recording and editing for learning purposes
- Support learners with coding and digital skills
- Contribute to the development of the centre’s website
- Work collaboratively with staff to improve online teaching and learning
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is confident working with both primary and secondary-aged learners
- Has a flexible, proactive approach and can think on their feet
- Is patient, accepting, and responsive to individual learner needs
- Has an interest or experience in IT, digital media, or coding
- Is comfortable supporting innovative and non-traditional learning approaches
Previous classroom experience is welcome but not essential, as our setting differs significantly from mainstream schools. What matters most is your willingness to learn, adapt, and build positive relationships with our learners.
Key Dates
- Trial days: Week commencing 13th April
- Start date: Immediate start available for successful candidates
- Placement: Until July 2026, with the potential for extension

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
