Teaching Assistants – Multiple Full-Time Opportunities
Location: Dorchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Teaching Personnel are excited to be working in partnership with schools in Dorchester to recruit three full-time Teaching Assistants for immediate start. These are fantastic opportunities for supportive, proactive individuals looking to make a real impact across Key Stage 2 and lower Key Stage 3.
We are currently recruiting for the following roles:
Pastoral Teaching Assistant – KS2 Interventions
- Delivering targeted pastoral and behavioural interventions
- Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Working closely with pastoral leads and SEN staff
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to promote positive engagement
Ideal for someone with strong pastoral or SEMH experience.
HLTA – KS2 Support
- Leading small group interventions across KS2
- Supporting core subject learning
- Covering lessons where required
- Working collaboratively with class teachers to raise attainment
Perfect for an experienced TA ready to step into a Higher Level role.
✏️ General Teaching Assistant – KS2 & Lower KS3
- Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 and lower KS3
- Providing classroom, 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting with behaviour management and pupil wellbeing
- Promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment
Great for a flexible and adaptable TA happy to work across year groups.
The Ideal Candidates Will:
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Be proactive, reliable and adaptable
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or be willing to apply through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
