The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, helping them to get the most out of their education.
Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting teachers with engaging lessons and classroom activities

Providing 1:1 and small-group support

Helping pupils access the curriculum and complete learning activities

Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider learning

Encouraging positive behaviour and good learning habits

Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required

Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

Helping prepare classroom resources and activities

Supporting pupils' confidence, independence and social development

Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
About You
We're looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

Passionate about working with children and young people

Patient, caring and approachable

Reliable, proactive and adaptable

Confident communicating with pupils and staff

Able to work effectively as part of a team

Committed to helping every pupil reach their potential
Previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare, SEN, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring or care environment is desirable, but we're also happy to speak with enthusiastic candidates looking to begin a career in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
