The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, helping them to get the most out of their education.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teachers with engaging lessons and classroom activities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Helping pupils access the curriculum and complete learning activities

  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider learning

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and good learning habits

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

  • Helping prepare classroom resources and activities

  • Supporting pupils' confidence, independence and social development

  • Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

About You

We're looking for Teaching Assistants who are:

  • Passionate about working with children and young people

  • Patient, caring and approachable

  • Reliable, proactive and adaptable

  • Confident communicating with pupils and staff

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Committed to helping every pupil reach their potential

Previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare, SEN, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring or care environment is desirable, but we're also happy to speak with enthusiastic candidates looking to begin a career in education.
