Year 1 Primary School Teaching Assistant Needed!

Location: Wimbledon    

Start Date: April 17th  

Pay: £75 - £85 per day

Contract: Permanent / Full Time

The role:

Do you want to make a difference in children’s lives?

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join fantastic primary school in the Wimbledon area to cover a long-term staff absence.

This is a brilliant opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a school environment and is passionate about working with children.

The role is working 1:1 with a year 3 child that requires extra support in the classroom – whilst also helping with general classroom responsibilities.

The school boasts state of the art facilities throughout, resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions for both staff and pupils, as well as a supportive and welcoming environment within the department.

Location:

The school is in a lovely area of Wimbledon and is close to several train and bus links for easy access to the school.

It is also located near several leisure facilities and restaurants which makes for a nice evening after work!

Requirements:

  • Desire to work within a primary school
  • Experience in KS1/2 environments desirable but not essential 
  • Happy working 1:1 with a Year 1 student with mild autism
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and flexibility
  • High expectations and a commitment to raising attainment and achievement
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can help facilitate this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
