Job description

eaching Assistant – EYFS Autism Support – Full Time – Tooting

Are you caring, proactive, and ready to make a meaningful impact in the early stages of a child’s life? A specialist nursery setting in Tooting is looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team supporting young children with autism.

This is a full-time, term-time role working with early years children who require structure, creativity, and above all, genuine warmth from the adults around them.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children aged 2–5 with autism in a nurturing nursery environment

  • Assisting with communication, play-based learning, and personal development

  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver a consistent and child-centered approach

  • Personal care may be involved, including toileting and feeding

  • A naturally warm, patient, and energetic personality

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to learning and care

  • A genuine passion for early years education and supporting neurodiverse children

  • Experience is desirable, but personality and commitment are everything
