Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming partner schools in Tiverton.


About the Role

You will be working within supportive and inclusive school settings that value nurturing relationships and personalised learning. These schools support pupils with a range of needs, helping them develop both academically and emotionally. You’ll join a collaborative staff team committed to creating meaningful learning experiences for every child.


Key Details

  • Start Date: ASAP (flexible start dates available)
  • Contract: Flexible hours
  • Pay: £90–£105 per day (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Create a calm, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Experience in education, childcare, or care work (desirable, not essential)
  • Patient, positive, and confident communicator
  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare
  • Willing to undertake training and professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
