Job Title: Part-Time Teaching Assistant (KS2)
Location: Sunderland
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Sunderland. This is a part-time role working within KS2, providing 1:1 support to a pupil who attends school during morning sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil
- Assisting with learning activities and classroom engagement
- Supporting the pupil with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Building a positive and trusting relationship to help the pupil thrive
- Working closely with teaching staff to implement effective strategies
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience working with children
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SEND
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- A patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Willingness to learn and implement strategies to support emotional regulation
- Flexibility to work part-time hours (mornings)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
