Teaching Assistant – Sturminster Newton
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to work within schools in Sturminster Newton and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a positive difference to their educational experience. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills
- Supporting children with additional learning needs and SEND
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a calm classroom environment
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with learning activities
- Developing positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Providing pastoral and academic support where required

- Confident communicating with pupils and school staff
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
Previous experience working within a school, childcare, youth work or SEND setting is beneficial, although relevant transferable experience and a genuine passion for education are equally valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
