Teaching Assistant – Sturminster Newton

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
• Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills
• Supporting children with additional learning needs and SEND
• Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a calm classroom environment
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with learning activities
• Developing positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
• Providing pastoral and academic support where required
