About the School
A specialist provision catering to students with a range of learning difficulties, including complex needs and disabilities. They are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every student can develop independence, confidence, and key life skills.
The team works closely with students, families, and professionals to provide tailored support that enables each young person to reach their full potential.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Support students with their learning, social development, and well-being. Personal care may also be required.
✅ Assist teachers in delivering engaging, adapted lessons that meet individual needs.
✅ Work closely with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide targeted support.
✅ Encourage independence and confidence in a nurturing and structured environment.
✅ Help manage behaviour positively, using strategies that support emotional regulation.
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning experience.
What We’re Looking For
✨ A caring, patient, and resilient individual with a passion for working with young people.
✨ Experience working in an educational or care setting.
✨ An understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or a willingness to learn.
✨ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
✨ A commitment to supporting the emotional and social well-being of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
