Teaching Assistant (TA) – Southampton

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our supportive school teams across Southampton. This is a rewarding role for anyone who enjoys helping children succeed and thrive in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to pupils individually or in small groups

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning programmes

• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges

• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

• Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons

About You:

• Patient, calm, and compassionate in your approach

• Experience working with children in schools or educational settings is desirable

• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practices

• Strong communication skills and a team player

• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
