Teaching Assistants (TA) – Full Time & Part Time Roles

Primary schools across Southampton are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (TA) to join their teams on both a full-time and part-time basis from September 2026.
As a Teaching Assistant/TA, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners with a range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential during their early educational journey. These rewarding positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, inclusion, and making a positive difference in children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support as a Teaching Assistant/TA
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

- Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
