Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Secondary School (Solihull, B90)- January 2026 Start
A welcoming and high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Solihull (B90) is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.
Rate of pay: £90-95 (per day, dependent upon experience)
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students aged 11–16 in the classroom, helping them engage with learning
-
Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individuals and small groups
- Provide focused intervention sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis to enhance learning and development
-
Assist in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
-
Provide additional help to students who may need extra guidance or encouragement or those with special educational needs
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for applicants who:
-
Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in another supportive role within a care or education-based setting
-
Are patient, proactive, and committed to supporting young people
-
Can build positive relationships with students and staff
-
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Experience
-
Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is beneficial, but not essential
-
A genuine interest in education and student development
- Previous experience in a TA/LSA role is beneficial, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
