KS2 Teaching Assistant
If you are passionate about making a difference to children’s development and learning, this role may be for you! The successful candidate should be able to build relationships with children, staff and families to enable the best possible outcomes for our children.
- Hours: Full-time 8:30 – 15:45
- Pay: £12.90 - £13.50
- Location: Rochdale
Your responsibilities:
- Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, other professionals and parents.
- Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.
- Assist the class teacher with delivering lessons and sessions to small groups.
- Have an understanding of children’s needs so that interventions can be planned and delivered.
- Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them in order to support their needs.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification
- Relevant experience working with children, within a school setting.
- A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Enhanced DBS – assistance provided if required
- Strong behaviour management techniques.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
