Teaching Personnel is working closely with a network of Primary Schools across Wakefield, and we are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to join our expanding support team.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
• Providing 1:1 or small-group support where needed
• Helping create an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment
• Encouraging pupil engagement and confidence
• Upholding school behaviour and safeguarding policies

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Experience working with children (school-based or transferable)
• A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ learning
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• The legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
