Teaching Assistant – Primary & SEN
Location: Cromer
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible
Salary: £95+ per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school setting, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in children's lives.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support students both in the classroom and on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs
- Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals
- Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a Primary or SEN setting
- A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
