Pay: From £92.63 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday | Full-time & Part-time Available

Looking for a new Teaching Assistant role this September?
Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming primary school in the NP10 area of Newport that is looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 1, helping children build confidence, develop key skills and enjoy a positive start to their education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher to provide support in the classroom, helping pupils reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and maths activities
- Supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Helping to prepare learning resources and classroom activities
- Creating a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

Previous experience in schools is welcomed, but we also encourage applications from those with experience in childcare, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching or other child-centred roles.
Requirements
- EWC registration (or willingness to register)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two professional references covering the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
