Teaching Assistant – SEN Provision

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs?

We are currently working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Lymington who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision on a full-time basis, starting immediately.

The role will involve working closely with students who have Autism and ADHD, providing consistent one-to-one and small-group support both within the SEN provision and across the wider school. You’ll play an important role in helping students feel settled, confident and able to engage positively with their education.

The role:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Immediate start
• Supporting students with Autism and ADHD
• Working within the school's dedicated SEN provision
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Supporting students with their learning, communication and engagement
• Helping students develop confidence and independence
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Has a good understanding of Autism and/or ADHD
• Is patient, calm and consistent in their approach
• Can build strong relationships and rapport with young people
• Is confident supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour
• Is reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about making a difference
• Ideally has experience within a school or similar educational setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
